Since 1965, our volunteers have been our driving force with their constant presence, offering consistent support with the generosity of their time and efforts through the years. 

We would love to have more volunteers join us in various projects and fundraising events.  Here's a sample of some of our ongoing projects and opportunities:
  • Typing or proofreading obituary information
  • Repairing scrapbooks and archived materials
  • Walking cemeteries to record information
  • Staffing our library during open hours (training provided)
  • Fundraising at Freedom Festival and other events
  • Manning a booth at the Linn County Fair

Whether you have time to chat with other enthusiastic genealogists at an event, or you prefer to come into the library and do some data entry, you'll find a great group of dedicated people who will be happy to welcome you!
