Beginning in 2016, we will hold our regular monthly meetings on the fourth Saturday of the month with social time/treats from 1-1:30 with the meeting at 1:30. Following the program, anyone wishing to get help with their research can stay until 4 pm.
The monthly meeting of the Genealogical Society of Linn County will take place Saturday, February 27th. Our business meeting begins at 12:45 with social time at 1:00, followed by the program at 1:30.
The featured speaker is Lorna Lincoln, who will present information on using the computer program, Microsoft OneNote, in your genealogy research. OneNote is a digital notebook that gathers notes, drawings, screen clippings and commentaries that can be shared with other OneNote users. You are welcome to stay after the program to do research. This meeting is free and open to all.
Our location is in the basement of the Masonic Library at 813 1st Avenue S.E., Cedar Rapids. Parking is available in the rear and enter through the back door.
